A Four-cell Division Method for Pilot Sequence Design to Reduce Pilot Pollution in Massive MIMO systems

چکیده
Abstract A method for pilot sequence design with the Zadoff-Chu (ZC) as a base is proposed to address problem of pollution in massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. Instead odd-length ZC currently use, even length serves basis pilot. It has advantage very small cross-correlation coefficient under premise that sum cyclic displacement odd. The results four-cell division are compared between even-length and sequences. MATLAB simulation shows signal-to-noise ratio channel estimation mean square error designed better than those existing case division.

Pilot signal design for coordinated transmission in massive MIMO systems
Massive multi-input multi-output (m-MIMO) and coordinated multipoint transmission (CoMP) are quite feasible techniques to improve the spectral efficiency in next generation wireless communication systems. It is of great concern to accurately estimate channel state information (CSI) of all base stations (BSs) involved in CoMP. Muting may be applied to improve the CSI estimation, which can reduce...
متن کاملA Successive Optimization Approach to Pilot Design for Multi-Cell Massive MIMO Systems
In this letter, we introduce a novel pilot design approach that minimizes the total mean square errors of the minimum mean square error estimators of all base stations (BSs) subject to the transmit power constraints of individual users in the network, while tackling the pilot contamination in multicell Massive MIMO systems. First, we decompose the original non-convex problem into distributed op...
متن کاملUncoordinated pilot decontamination in massive MIMO systems
This work concerns wireless cellular networks applying time division duplexing (TDD) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology. Such systems suffer from pilot contamination during channel estimation, due to the shortage of orthogonal pilot sequences. This paper presents a solution based on pilot sequence hopping, which provides a randomization of the pilot contamination. It is sh...
متن کاملPilot Contamination in Small-Cell Massive MIMO Systems
The increasing demand for wireless data services requires massive network densification which is neither economically nor ecologically feasible. The concept of cell-size reduction provides an effective and simple solution to this problem. Small-Cell Networks (SCN) are one of the promising architectures based on this idea. Generally, a SCN is a cellular network where the size of the cells are ve...
متن کاملLocation-Aided Pilot Decontamination for Massive MIMO Systems
One of the key limitation of massive MIMO systems is pilot contamination, which is defined as the interference during uplink channel estimation due to re-use of the same pilots in surrounding cells. In this paper, we propose a location-based approach to the pilot contamination problem for uplink MIMO systems. Our approach makes use of the approximate locations of mobile devices to provide good ...
